  • A great house for a large group in a beautiful scenic area. The house was very clean and the beds very comfy. The table tennis table in the outhouse was a great hit with the kids ( and adults too). The selection of board games was also appreciated. Overall would definitely recommend the property and would stay again.

  • We had an amazing stay at the Achill Shore house! There was plenty of room for my family of 9. We will definitely stay again when in the area!

  • Our stay in Amanda's house surpassed all expectations. The house is great, very well equipped, extremely clean and very comfortable beds ! There were board games as well as a ping pong table and other sports equipment to keep the children busy. The space was perfect for a group of 11. I would highly recommend Amanda's house if you want to really disconnect and enjoy the beauty of Achill and the surrounding area.

  • “Great place to stay”

Was the perfect spot for our family gathering with a large enclosed space for the dog and kiddies to run around and have fun. Would highly recommend.

  • Lovely views and great location
Very spacious, bright, comfortable house in a great location. It feels wonderfully remote and private, yet just a short drive or cycle to shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the wildlife that came to visit (hares) and the sheep, and we loved the wild flowers growing along the laneways and roads nearby and all over Achill. Because of the pandemic, restaurants were closed but we enjoyed the most delicious fish and chips from The Diner in Bunacurry, as recommended by Vincent. Ted's food truck up the road in Cashel has also adapted well to the times and is serving very imaginative fare. Great to be able to get good coffee during a long hike or bike ride. In the past we have enjoyed the seafood chowder at the Achill Island hotel and at Ted's. This year it was available at the Mulranney Park hotel, on the Greenway. Achill is perfect for cycling, ebiking and hiking, and the signage and greenways are improving and being extended all the time. This year we found a new greenway in Saula. And the views from Minnaun heights are not to be missed - head towards the radio tower/pylon and you will find it.

  • Achill shore View lived up to the reviews and photos and did not disappoint. With the spectacular views to all of the amazing facilities. It is definitely a home from home. The living spaces were fabulous and the beds were so comfortable. Close to Achill Sound & a great location for touring the island. The playroom in the garage is perfect for a rainy day. Really enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again.

  • We were captivated by the pictures of Achill Shore View and came to stay for a week at the end of May. We discovered photographs cannot do justice to the breath taking scenery all around the house. You could not imagine a more stunning setting. The sky changes mood all the time and we never tired of watching it. If you are seeking a tranquil haven which showcases the unique beauty of the West of Ireland - look no further. Light flows through this lovely house. The open plan is a clever design and the vaulted ceilings increase the feeling of space. There was no need to rush to the shops for basics so we could relax and settle in. The beds provided a really comfy night’s sleep and the bedding was luxurious. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the huge cooker was very efficient.A wide range of books, DVDs and games are all plentiful should you encounter a rainy day. It was lovely to know our two dogs were welcome too. All in all this is a holiday dwelling where the owners have gone the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. This is a special place you will not forget. Achill Shore View feels like a home from home.

  • Gorgeous location!
House is lovely and spacious with a very well equipped kitchen. Views are stunning out of every window and from the patio. Lots of DVDs and board games to chose from which was a really nice touch. Dog pen was so handy. Decor is lovely, house was spotlessly clean and the beds all very comfortable. Games room was great craic, we really enjoyed it. Nothing negative to say about the house at all, really enjoyed our stay.

  • This place is heaven on earth!
We booked this place trying to find some family connection since my great grandfather was from this area. The views from this home are amazing! The inside is very tastefully decorated and quite cozy. There was ample space for our family of 6 to sleep. The kitchen was super nice. The back patio was very nice also.If you decide to rent this place you will not be disappointed!

Best holiday house we've ever stayed in

Left on Nov 6, 2017 for a stay in Oct 2017
We LOVE Achill and have been coming here for years but it has been difficult to find really good comfortable accommodation. All that wild western weather can make it difficult to get a nice warm, comfortable house at busy times. And sadly for such a beautiful place, some rental properties are in dire need of an upgrade. So it was always a hit and miss affair getting the right place...Then the clouds parted and Achill Shore View dawned!! A gorgeous house with wonderful hotel quality beds and bed linen and towels supplied. The views are gorgeous, and there's lovely silvered decking outside to enjoy the warm sunshine (yes, it does shine). When it doesnt shine, there's so much to keep you happy indoors. A generous well-fitted kitchen with loads of equipment to suit even the fussiest cook. A big dining table to enjoy long breakfasts or a good game of scrabble at. A tempting Japanese soaking bath for a long thoughtful read. A gorgeous lounge with squashy sofas and footstools and a huge tv/dvd. Its so well thought-out and it's obvious that careful consideration has been given to the comfort and relaxation of guests. From extra towels for the beach, to the welcome pack of tea, coffee, wine and biccys, to the huge selection of dvds, books and games for that inevitable rainy day, nothing is found wanting. I highly recommend Achill Shore View. Unfortunately, I also am regretting that all of you now know how great a house it is, because it will make it that much harder to book at busy times. But hey, enjoy!!

  • Excellent House in an amazing location!

We had a fantastic stay in Achill Shore View. The house was very well equipped, especially for the kids on the rainy days, thankfully they weren't all wet! The house is in a stunning location and the views were amazing, we even had sheep in the garden almost everyday which the kids loved. We would highly recommend this house and hope to stay here again.

  • Heaven on earth in every way!

Highly Recommended. From the moment of first contact with Amanda we got Excellent Service. Achill Shore view is Must to stay in. Clean. Comfortable with Peaceful Surroundings. Stunning views. A real feel of Home. Kitchens to suit a Master chef yet easy to operate by a Layman like me.I can not Speak Highly enough of the owner Amanda. Go there. Stay There. This will be everything you dreamed of in Holiday Accommodation. Enjoy The Wild Atlantic way all round you even from your Living room and Bedroom windows. I am not related in any way to anyone connected with this property. I will be staying here again and again so book early.

  • Amazing house which is accessed by a private road ,property itself is gated very handy if you have small kids or pets in our case two dogs and there is also a really good secure dog run .the house itself is very comfortable and you feel at home right away which we did ,great kitchen and large living room great bedrooms and the master bedroom has a window from which the views of the shore is magical which is only a few meters away my oldest son had the attic room which in his words was like a little apartment which had its own bathroom with a Japanese style soak bath .The house comes with plenty of dvds and games and its own library of books so there is plenty to do after a day of touring around achill and beyond .to the side of the kitchen the outside space is brilliant with a good decking area with seating and tables .we really enjoyed our time at this house and cant wait to return it is an ideal base for touring the area with the beautiful town of westport not far away .i just wish we could have spent more time here if you are looking for accommodation in achill you have found it ......

  • Another perfect stay! This was our third stay in the achill shore view and once again it didn't disappoint. As always the house was spotless clean and very comfortable. The weather wasn't so good this time but it didn't make any difference to our weekend. The house is the perfect place to hang out when it's raining. Loads of space, board games and dvds to keep the kids entertained. I'd highly recommend a stay here
